(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines woman is facing several charges in connection with a multi-state fraud investigation. Police started investigating a person back in August who they say was posing as an immigration attorney in Texas and accepting money for services they never offered. Police say they learned the suspect had a co-conspirator in Des Moines. Nancy Sandoval was recently arrested and charged with first-degree theft, conspiracy, and ongoing criminal conduct. Arrest warrants have been issued for the person in Texas but police haven't said if they're in custody. Detectives say they think there are more fraud victims that haven't been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Dusty Chapline at 515-283-4966, or for victims only speaking Spanish, Zuleyma Mendez at 515-318-4089.
