(Des Moines, IA) -- An investigation is underway after a woman's body is found in a Des Moines parking lot.
The Des Moines Police Department says around 9:00 Sunday morning, officers were called to the 800 block of SE 14th Street to investigate a report of the discovery of a deceased person. Once on the scene, officers located the woman's body in the parking lot of a business. According to a statement from the police department, "Initial observations show no indication of any criminal contributing factors."
The woman's death remains under investigation, no other details have been released at this time.
