(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Blank Park Zoo is announcing several new species. There's a new Mountain Zebra and a yellow-backed duiker, which is a forest dwelling antelope. The public can also now view a giraffe calf born in January. There's also a new laughing kookaburra chick in the aviary that has fledged, and two tawny frogmouth chicks.

Spokesman Ryan Bickel says the public can now also see a baby giraffe born in January.

He says more additions are expected later this summer.
