Nebraska sending State Troopers to help Texas with U.S. Mexico border

(Lincoln, NE) -- Twenty-Five Nebraska State Patrol Troopers are being deployed to Texas to help on the U.S.- Mexico border. Gov. Pete Ricketts says they'll go to Del Rio, Texas and partner with the Texas Department of Public Safety to help with law enforcement. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott declared the situation at the border a disaster on June 1.

The Nebraska Governor's Office Tweeted about the decision over the weekend.
