UPDATE: Man charged in deadly northwest Iowa shooting

(Woodbury County, IA) -- There are new details about an Iowa shooting that killed one man, and injured a woman. The Woodbury County Sheriff's Office says 40-year-old Russell Mohr of Mapleton died in the shooting in Luton Monday. A woman was shot in the leg and taken to a Sioux City hospital. Her name has not been released.

Deputies were called to a home in the 1900 block of 250th Street Monday around 1:30, where they found Mohr's body and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the front yard. The Woodbury County Sheriff's Office says investigators were told about a red Volkswagen that had left the area after the shooting. The driver, 20-year-old Marvin Hildreth Junior was taken into custody without incident a short time later on Highway 141. He's been booked into the Woodbury County Jail for second-degree murder and going armed with intent.
