LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Nebraska's governor says there could be consequences for pharmacies, or health departments vaccinating people out of turn.

Governor Pete Ricketts says pharmacies and health districts that give COVID vaccinations to people who aren't currently eligible are committing a misdemeanor.

He says there wouldn't be legal repercussions for people who are given the shot, but there could be a penalty for those administering vaccinations to groups that aren't currently eligible.
