Man killed, two hurt after in Polk County crash

(Polk County, IA) -- One man is dead, two others are hurt after a Polk County Crash. The Iowa State Patrol says a Cadillac Seville driven by 34-year-old Zachary Willer of Pleasant Hill collided with a Semi on Highway 163 around 1:20 this (Tuesday) morning in Pleasant Hill. Authorities say both the car and the semi were eastbound on Highway 163, and car hit the semi after it had stopped at the NE 80th Street stoplight. Willer was taken by helicopter to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines.

A passenger in Willer's car, 23-year-old Dean Goodenough [[GOOD-en-now]] of Maple Park, Illinois was killed. Another passenger in Willer's car, 23-year-old Jeffrey Kyleigh of Des Moines was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The truck driver, 26-year-old Abdulluhi Abdullahi of Eden Praire, Minnesota was not injured.
