Constitutional Carry moves forward in Iowa State House. Good idea?

Constitutional Carry moved forward in the Iowa State House with the House Public Safety Committee voting 12-8 to approve a measure that would allow us to buy and carry firearms without a permit.

House Study Bill 254 would still require Federal background checks to purchase from licensed dealers, but we would be able to acquire firearms without a Government permit and would be able to openly carry it.

Critics describe the measure as 'radical' while those in favor say the right to keep and bear firearms is indeed being infringed by the requirement to get a permission slip from the Government.

What do you think? Is this a good idea?
