(Ottumwa, IA) -- An Ottumwa man's accused of bringing a gun to a childcare center and impersonating law enforcement. Police say 40-year-old Jason Haut has been charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying Weapons on School Grounds, Impersonating an Officer, and other weapons charges.
Police say February 24th, Pickwick Early Childhood Center staff questioned Haut about a gun in a holster, he told them he was a member of law enforcement. He did not make any threats. Police executed a search warrant at Haut's residence and found another firearm.
This (Tuesday) morning, March 2nd, the Ottumwa Police Department arrested Haut.
