Iowa's Pella Tulip Time Festival Will Not Feature Parades This Year

PELLA, Iowa - The annual Pella Tulip Time Festival Parade will not take place this year.

Organizers have announced it's being canceled out of an abundance of caution.

The three-day festival in May (May-6-8) usually includes two parades with floats and bands.

Organizers say the other Tulip Time events, such as the Dutch Market, will take place with smaller crowds allowed.

They also say Dutch experiences in downtown Pella will take place in the form of “pop up” group performances.

This year marks the 86th year of the festival. The event is organized by the Pella Historical Society and Museums. One of the city's attractions is the Boyhood Home of Wyatt Earp, which is currently under renovation.
