(Polk County, IA) -- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspected arsonist, who may have suffered burns on the arms. Detectives are investigating the arson of a vehicle that occurred on Dec. 11, 2020 at 11:17 p.m. at 5109 NE 17th Street in Des Moines.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
The vehicle in the photo was driven by the suspect. The white 4 door sedan appears to have a darker colored wheel on the rear driver side.
A video appears to show the suspect in this case caught him or herself on fire and could have possible sustained injuries to one or both arms.
