Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley tests positive for COVID-19

Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley has tested positive for COVID-19. He made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday.

The Senate's oldest Republican went into quarantine on Tuesday after being exposed to the virus.

In his tweet, Grassley said he's "feeling good and will keep working for the people of Iowa from home."

“I learned today that I’ve been exposed to the coronavirus. I will follow my doctors’ orders and immediately quarantine as I await my test results. I’m feeling well and not currently experiencing any symptoms, but it’s important we all follow public health guidelines to keep each other healthy.”
