DES MOINES, Iowa -- The City of Des Moines is letting Beggars’ Night happen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Frank Cownie says Beggars’ Night will be Friday, October 30th with trick-or-treating between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Polk County Public Health says parents should takes COVID precautions by putting out a bowl or basket of pre-wrapped treats on a doorstep or in a driveway to limit interaction with trick-or-treaters.

As for going house-to-house, Public Health says it's a good idea to limit the area kids travel and their interaction with others.
