Man accused of stabbing another man with machete in Ames

(Ames, IA) -- A man's accused of stabbing another man in the back with a machete in Ames after a brief altercation. Police say it happened just after 6 o'clock Saturday morning outside the Kum and Go at 111 Duff Avenue. Ames Police are not providing details about the victim's injuries.

Police say they were given a description of the suspect and his last known location. They found a man matching the description in the parking lot of Starbucks at 327 Lincoln Way.

Police arrested 21-year-old Barry Yazin Mayo. He's facing Willful Injury and Harassment charges.
