Mason City Police Still Looking for Missing TV News Anchor 25 Years Later

MASON CITY, Iowa -- Police in Mason City are still investigating the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit, the TV news anchor who disappeared 25 years ago and was never found.

Huisentruit, a Minnesota native, was last heard from on June 27, 1995 when a coworker at KIMT-TV in Mason City called her apartment, finding out she had overslept and was late for work. Huisentruit never reported to work and was never seen again.

Mason City Police released a statement Saturday morning saying the case is still open.

"We realize that circumstances have changed in the past 25 years that may have impacted your decision to not come forward sooner," says Chief Jeff Brinkley in the statement.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is also helping with the investigation.
