DES MOINES, Iowa - An investigation is underway after a stabbing that seriously injured two people early Monday morning in an area near Waveland Golf Course in Des Moines.
Sgt. Paul Parizek tells WHO Radio News a call came in around 3:10 a.m. about two people stabbed at an apartment building in the 4800 block of University Avenue.
Both remain hospitalized currently - a 46-year-old man is in serious condition and a 37-year-old man is in critical condition.
Witness statements and a preliminary examination of evidence at the scene indicate that the two men injured are friends who appear to have inflicted injury upon one another.
A motive has not yet been identified as police continue to investigate.
