DES MOINES, Iowa -- A Des Moines man is being charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man.
Police found 19-year-old Robert Freeman suffering from a gunshot wound last Saturday. Freeman was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
21-year-old Dayquawne Gates has been charged with first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
Police say they discovered video and firearm-related evidence that led them to charge Gates.
Gates is being held in the Polk County Jail.
