Mother of Woman Killed While Driving in Des Moines Asks for Public Help

DES MOINES, Iowa - The mother of a woman who was shot and killed while driving in Des Moines is asking for support in solving the crime.

Wendy Vasquez spoke publicly with the assistance of Mothers Against Violence on Saturday, where she pleaded for the public to supply information that will leading to the suspect's arrest.

Vasquez' daughter, 33-year-old Kaydee Bobbitt, was killed while driving near 33rd Street on Kingman Boulevard with her 17-year-old daughter on April 3rd.

Des Moines Police issued a warrant for 27-year-old Antonio Markez Hodges on April 8th. They believe he has critical information about Bobbitt’s death.

Officers think Hodges is still in the Des Moines area, and is getting help to hide from police. He has numerous outstanding warrants.
