Hormel Foods Plant is Osceola Has COVID-19 Presence

OSCEOLA, Iowa - Hormel Foods is confirming at least one positive case of COVID-19 at Osceola Foods.

The Sentinel Tribune reports eight people have been quarantined as a result. Hormel is not reporting individual cases, but has suspended operations at three facilities out of 30 nationwide. The company says it's doing so as a cautionary measure to protect staff.

It also says it has onsite nurses to advise staff, and has increase its sanitation efforts. Hormel further says it's providing masks and personal protective face covering at its plants and is staggering start times and break times for its workers.

Hormel Foods produces brands such as Skippy Peanut Butter, Dinty Moore Beef Stew and Hormel Chili.
