VIDEO: Iowa DNR' fish hatcheries busy amid COVID-19 outbreak

MORAVIA, Iowa- COVID-19 has closed Iowa Department of Natural Resources fish hatcheries to the public, but the DNR the annual, late night walleye collection is beginning this week at Rathbun Lake and the Iowa Great Lakes.

Crews work around the clock to bring in the nightly haul of walleye, the eggs are removed and then the fish are returned to the lake. The eggs are then fertilized.
