Warren County supervisors look at options for courthouse

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Supervisors in Warren County may be asking taxpayers for another $5 million-dollars to rebuild the county courthouse.

WHO TV-13 reports that Warren counties supervisors met last week to discuss the project, which is currently on hold after coming in over budget.

The county is looking at either asking for more money or moving the courthouse out of the town square to save money.

The old courthouse was torn down in earlier this year and a new one was supposed to be built in its place on the town square, but the project came in several million dollars higher than expected, so the bids were rejected.
