Greenfield residents now can boil their water

Residents of Greenfield can now boil their water instead of using bottled water.

Greenfield Municipal Utilities says the water's safe to drink after it's boiled.

Yesterday (Tuesday) customers were told that they had to use bottled water because of algae in the water system.

The city's water comes from Lake Greenfield, which has an algae bloom.  Now the utility says the amount of algae in the water is below dangerous.

But they say the water still should be boiled before it's used.
