HAWAIIAN BEACHES, Hawaii - A man shot this devastating video as lava approached his shop and home in the Big Island subdivision of Hawaiian Beaches.
According to posts on his Facebook page, Travis Shane had help from friends moving the products in his shop to safety, and met with a mover just a few days before to move the house, but the lava came too quickly and destroyed it all.
One reader commented that it looks like the end of the world.
Shane is looking for a new shop in Hilo, on another side of the Big Island away from the volcano lava zone.
