President Trump Ends "Catch And Release"

I had the honor of filling in for Simon Conway this weekend.  Click above to hear my interview with John Zmirak, author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide To Immigration."

In the interview, Zmirak tells me that the mainstream media is hiding just how much we've lost control of our southern border.  He blames the unwillingness of BOTH the left and the right to enforce our immigration laws -  the left wants new voters;  the right wants cheap labor for its business supporters.

Standing astride both the left and right, President Trump continues to advocate for tough border enforcement.  He has ordered National Guard troops to the border and now his Justice Department has announced that it is implementing a “zero-tolerance” policy for prosecuting those attempting to enter the U.S. illegally.

While the President's tough rhetoric on immigration initally slowed illegal crossings, the Administration now says that the number of attempted border crossings jumped 203 percent in March of this year compared to March of last year.

That, and reports of a caravan on migrants headed toward the border spurred angry comments from President Trump this week.

We don't have laws, we have catch-and-release,” he said Tuesday. “You catch and then you immediately release and people come back years later for a court case, except they virtually never come back.”

The next topic to top the news regarding immigration this week:  will California allow National Guard troops to help at the border?  Listen to WHO Radio for the latest and your chance to comment!
