Have You Seen This? - Scientists Find New Furthest Star

The vast depths of our universe is still mostly unknown, but thanks to the Hubbell Telescope, we can say we've discovered a little more of it.

Recent photos from the telescope unpacked by Astronomy magazine, citing Nature Astronomy, have shown the farthest star ever shown in an image. The star is a blue supergiant that has been named Icarus.

The author of the study claims that this star is 100 times further away than the next farthest star that can be studied. The light from the object was emitted 4.4 billion years after the Big Bang took 9 billion years to reach Earth.

All we know about things that far away is just that - they are very far away. But these types of discoveries will continue to teach us more about how big the universe really is.
