DES MOINES, Iowa - A house was destroyed by fire in Des Moines late Friday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived the entire house was already in flames. The intensity of the fire prevented firefighters from going inside, forcing them to fight the fire from outside the home, according to WHO Channel 13.

The entire structure is now charred, and much of the roof is gone.  Neighbors on social media say the house was vacant, and was located east of Grandview Park in the 2800 block of East 33rd Street.  No injuries are reported.
