Gas prices in Iowa could rise another 25-cents

Gas prices are 20-cents higher in Iowa than they were a year ago.

Triple-A-Iowa/Minnesota Spokesperson Gail Weinholzer tells WHO Radio News the statewide average is $2.54 per gallon.

She says there are no signs prices are going down, in fact she predicts prices will increase up to 25-cents per gallon, in March or April, as refineries switch from winter-grade to summer-grade fuel, which is more costly to refine.

Weinholzer says higher oil prices are to blame for increased pump prices.
