Tim Cloyd owns Glorious Drifter, a hot air balloon, and each year he does the "Extreme Flight to Find a Cure". It's a flight to raise money for Cancer Research. He flies between 200 and 500 miles at speeds up to 100 mph and altitude as great as 17,000 feet! He will even require oxygen to survive! There's a big party happening this weekend at Cowles Commons and it's called Christkindlmarket and it's put on by the Des Moines European Heritage Association. There will be kids activities, a heated entertainment tent, decorated Christmas trees and lots more.
