An Adel mother's in the Dallas County Jail after police caught her sleeping while her toddlers were outside naked in cold weather.
It happened around 9am Thursday. Police were called as witnesses say the naked toddlers were playing near Highway 6 in Adel a short distance from 18 year old Jasmine Teed's home.
When officers arrived at the home, an elderly man had "corralled" the kids and took them back into the house.
Teed is charged with two counts of child endangerment. The children, twin boys, and another child in the apartment are staying with relatives.
"After hearing from the witnesses it was very clear the potential for a tragic outcome was there. Four lanes of heavy traffic on Highway 6, only feet away from the Highway 6/169 intersection. We are fortunate there were no injuries," said Adel Police Chief Gordy Shepherd
