The Faces of Adult & Teen Challenge

This morning we did our entire show from Beaver Creek Golf Course on behalf of Adult & Teen Challenge of the Midlands.  They help people with addictions and dependencies turn their lives around and their success rate is phenomenal!  Jennnifer Peterson of Story-Kenworthy brought out a huge inflatable dart board and we let our listeners hit tennis balls with golf clubs at the target...the person who got the highest score by the end of the morning, won a Honda portable generator from our friend Don Van Houwelling of the Van Wall Group!  Don also provided $50.00 gift cards to the first 50 people who donated $50 or more to Adult & Teen Challenge!  The Sheriff of Jasper County, John Halferty, (pictured above) also spoke with us about what Adult & Teen Challenge means to him and his staff in Jasper County.

We want to say a huge "thank-you" to Gary Presnall and Bankers Trust for underwriting the cost of the golf marathon at Beaver Creek, so that all the money you listeners donated will go 100% to the work of Adult & Teen Challenge!!!!

Jim Clark of the Johnston Grimes Fire Department stopped by to chat with us as well and even brought out their big new fire truck!  Jim also spoke of the great admiration they have of Adult & Teen Challenge.

Warren Hunsberger and his family have been involved with Adult & Teen Challenge since 1994.  Warren has had the opportunity to help bring many people to Christ thru his mission at Teen Challenge.  We thank him for the opportunity to be able to speak on their behalf.  If you are led to donate, you can contact Adult & Teen Challenge at www.TCMID.org.

Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie....where did the Van and Bonnie Piano go???  We'll answer that...and the guys from the Martin Marietta Mine will join us and we'll be talking "Journey to the Center of the Earth"!

Have a wonderful day!

Bonnie
