A couple of notes this week:

 

Google is splitting its stock, but the founders are stacking the deck so they can keep control of the company, no matter what.

 

Facebook is dropping $1 billion on the purchase of Instagam. That's what I'd call another tech bubble.

 

The redesign of Google Plus this week has inspired more speculation on the doom of that site. (In my opinion, it's not going anywhere, because Google is deeply worried about being left out of the "social" marketplace of the future.)
