Julie Gilmore, Director of the Iowa Primate Learning Sanctuary and Steve Boers, Facilities Director, joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news. The facility is located in southeast Des Moines...take the Highway 65 bypass to the Army Post exit...go north on SE 45th to Evergreen. The facility includes about 230 acres. The Bonobos actually communicate using computers. It is now open to the public on Sunday and Monday afternoons between 2 and 3:30PM...by reservation only.
