It's a nasty piece of maalware doing the rounds that encrypts files on a victim's computer and issues an ultimatum: pay up or lose your data. A pop-up window with a 100-hour countdown begins and you're given details how to pay the ransom, which typically ranges between $100 and $700. If the money is paid, a key is supplied to decrypt your files. If not, the key is destroyed and your files are lost forever. Brian said to make sure you are using a reputable anti-virus software to protect your computer...he suggested either Kaspersay or Norton Anti-Virus, and back-up your files somewhere other than on your computer.
