Sonya Heitshusen from TV-13 joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news. Sonya has an investigative piece on the 10PM news tonight where she looked into the travel expenses of State of Iowa appointees. She will be highlighting one person who was okayed to attend a conference in Europe and then did not attend the conference, but turned in all the expenses. Today is Tuesday...so it's a Van & Bonnie Eat Other People's Meals Day. Today we had a Fire Fighters meal. Fire Fighters Karlos Kirby and Matt Palon joined us in the studio and they brought us some of Matt's famous french toast and sausage. He is a great cook! They say his meatloaf is to die for....guess we'll need to get his recipe! Thanks guys! Tune in next Tuesday when we have a hospital meal from Iowa Methodist!

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning to have your documents shredded in our Annual Aviva Paper Shred Event! When we left at 9AM this morning, you had already filled one 53' semi trailer and they were working on a second one! You can still take your 5 boxes of documents to be shredded thru 1PM today. Go a couple of blocks south of the intersection of Jordan Creek Parkway and Mills Civic Parkway (just south of Jordan Creek Town Centre). The truck is located in the East parking loot of Aviva. They have volunteers ready to unload your boxes. Thank you to all of the employee volunteers as well as the Iowa Forestry Division of the DNR for the free trees we gave away this morning as well!
