Our special guest just after the 8:30 news this morning was Laura DeCook with the Mahaska County Conservation.  They are hosting an Ice Golf Tournament as a fundraising event to help raise money for the new Environmental Learning Center will be built at Caldwell Park near Oskaloosa.  The tournament will be Jan. 26th at the Russell Wildlife Area ponds.  Tee times are 9AM and 1PM.  An alternate date of February 2nd is planned if ice conditions are not sufficient.  Pre-registration is required at 641-673-9327 or www.mahaskaconservation.com.  The Russell Wildlife Area is located 4 miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street.  The cost is only $10.00 per person.
