The WHO Radio Tractor Ride starts this Sunday, so these timely details will help guide you as you roll into town.
Parking; welcome, tractors!
Sunday we will all gather at the Appanoose County Fairgrounds. Turn west on Franklin Street and the fairgrounds will be on your right (or the north side of the street). We will have one Entrance for all tractors and trailers. Public parking and visitors will enter through a different gate.
All Bumper and 5th wheel trailers will unload and park at the Fairgrounds. All semi trucks will park and unload at CTI (Centerville Tractor and Implement, the John Deere dealer). CTI is located on Hwy 5. Go south through Centerville and it will be the last business on the west side of Hwy 5. You will need to drive all tractors from CTI; directions to the fairgrounds will be supplied at CTI.
Registration
Registration for all drivers will open at the fairgrounds at 11am and will close at 5pm. Make sure you bring a current drivers license!
Sponsors
There will be lots of sponsor displays this year. Please plan your day so that you can visit with all of our great sponsors!
Tire inspections
Titan Tire and Graham Tire will be a part of our Tractor check-in process. Plan to run your tractor through their tire inspection area to make sure your tires have the proper air pressure. Hot weather can play havoc on those tires, so have them checked on Sunday.
Fuel
AgriLand FS will have fuel for you to fill your tractor on Sunday and each evening during the ride. Ethanol/Soy Biodiesel/propane will be available.
Food
Lunch will be served at the Fairground between 11am and 2pm Hy Vee will have the grill set up with some great summer favorites. Indian Hills Community College Ag students will be making homemade ice cream that will be available all day.
Shuttles
The Centerville Community will supply a "Shuttle" for everyone to ride from the Fairgrounds to the Downtown area….Downtown stores will be open…enjoy the ride! Shuttle will also return you to the fairgrounds.
More food
Dinner on Sunday and also on Monday will be served Downtown around the Square! Sunday night starting at 4:30 p.m. You may want to take the shuttle as parking will be tight. Ice cream will be served for dessert by the local Lapland Plowboys Tractor Club.
The annual evening Kick-Off Tractor Ride Meeting will be held downtown starting at 6pm around the bandstand area. Please bring your lawn chairs if you have them.
