931 tons were sold and the market was $20/ ton higher on big squares and firm on round bales. The previous record high of $322.50/ ton was was broken many times, Sold loads of hay at $325,$330 (twice) and the new record is $340/ ton on 4th crop larges squares alfalfa. Round topped at $255/ ton straw in big squares was steady selling from mostly $28-35/ bale in large squares and $58/ bale in large rounds. Also set a record the lowest price for big squares today was $265/ ton that is the highest botton price on big squares ever. Many out of state buyers were present demand very good.
Also hearing many reports that China has purchased top end alfafa hay and has one western grower said he thinks they ( China) wiped out the entire state of Idaho.
