I am a very proud Citizen of the United States. That took place in early 2008 after a seven year legal journey. As you can imagine, I have some views on immigration which you will find in these pages from time to time.
I was born in London, England and have been American in my attitudes for as long as I can remember. The Constitution should be regarded as a sacred document. Unfortunately as each year passes it seems to be less important. We have a President who told the American People BEFORE he was elected that the Constitution was a "flawed document". That would have been electoral suicide just a few short years ago. I remember when we were trying to help Iraq write it's constitution I said on the radio "we should give them ours! After all, we stopped using it years ago".
I started work as a journalist in 1976 when at the tender age of 16 I got a job on the Jerusalem Post. Recently I have been guest hosting talk radio around the country. Prior to that, you could have heard The Simon Conway Radio Experience.
I am a radio talk show host whose conservative outlook was forged in my native UK, where I experienced the considerable downsides of European-style socialism. I have a unique insight into health care and all the other trappings of a socialist society because I've already lived through where we are headed.
In recent days it has become clear that when Egyptians took to their streets to remove Mohammed Morsi, they were clearly right to do so.
Despite the screams of “he was the elected President”, he went so far beyond his powers as to become dangerous.
India Today has published a list of Fatwas issued during his Presidency and while we may find some of them funny, they were extremely serious for that country’s citizens - especially the women. For example, the Arabic word for “Ocean” is a masculine word and so there was a Fatwa issued that said if a married woman’s pelvic region came into contact with the sea, she was literally committing adultery. Standard punishment for adultery under Sharia Law? Stoning to death!
Here are just a few of the others.
Titus is a 3 year old who is amazing at trick basketball shots. He recently beat Bradley Cooper and Channing Tatum in a game, and is ridiculously cute.
Just hand over your social security number, address, kids names, ages, their SS numbers, annual income and we’ll get you some of that “free” Government healthcare (or did they remove the “free” word from the White House website yet?).
Only problem - this is a hacker’s paradise!
According to David Kennedy, a "white hat" hacker who tests online security by breaching websites, Healthcare.gov has NO SECURITY.
"It's really hard to go back and fix the security around it because security wasn't built into it," Kennedy, chief executive of TrustedSec told CNBC. "We're talking multiple months to over a year to at least address some of the critical-to-high exposures on the website itself."
DHHS says it’s very security conscious.... "The privacy and security of consumers' personal information are a top priority for us. Security testing happens on an ongoing basis using industry best practices to appropriately safeguard consumers' personal information," said the spokesperson.
So who are you going to believe? A Government that has consistently lied to all of us, or an expert who has clearly broken into the site?
Morgan Wright, CEO of Crowd Sourced Investigations which is another expert in the field, told Congress last week that the website needs to be shut down immediately and be rebuilt from scratch.
I am very security concious when it comes to my ID. I won’t even give the “last four” over the telephone to any of my vendors - there are other ways to clear security! And yet our Government wants millions of our fellow citizens to hand over theirs to a site that is probably already infested with ID thieves.
Except a “my bad” from the President in the next six months to a year. It will be too late by then.
