Jan Mickelson has held the 9-11:30 a.m. slot as the host of "Mickelson in the Morning" at WHO Radio since July 1988. "Mickelson in the Morning" is a sometimes controversial, yet always conversational talk show covering topics from city and state Government to entertaining and educational issues. Jan was named one of the "100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America 1997" by TALKERS MAGAZINE.

He spent six years at radio station WCKY in Cincinnati, Ohio, prior to his tenure at WHO Radio. Jan also worked in radio in Columbia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, as well as teaching school in Columbia and in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Jan is an Iowa native. His hometown is Harlan, Iowa, and he graduated from Harlan High School. Jan is married to Susanne and has one son, Scott.
