Plants we would like to try....
Eileen
1) Korean Mountain Ash, Sorbus alnifolia
We need more options for small trees for home landscapes.
2) False Hellebore, Veratrum woodii
Native plants for shaded gardens.
3) Virginia sweetspire, Itea virginica
Don't fight the low wetter areas in your yard & garden, many plants tolerate wet feet.
I think I may already have this in my garden, but I don't know it.
(Consider Carex eburnea, Ivory sedge for dry shade under trees. The Missouri Botanical Garden Description is accurate; 5 stars!)
Sedges Have the Edge, Prairie Nursery, August 21, 2012
5) Kentucky Coffeetree, Gymnocladus dioicus
When a big gap opens in my landscape.
Aaron
1) Japanese Umbrella Pine, Sciadopitys verticillata
not sure it will live - but I want to try!
ditto comment above! It dies to the ground here in Central Iowa
3) Gold Rush Dawn Redwood, Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Gold Rush'
I used to have a Dawn Redwood, I want to try this fun cultivar
4) Giant Miscanthus, Miscanthus'Giganteus'
How could you not want to try somthing that grows 10 feet in a single summer.
5) Yellow Wax-bells, Kirengeshoma palmata
I now have quite a bit of shade in my backyard so I want to try something that's not a Hosta
Bonus: 6) Any Viburnum!
I just think there are so many great ones to choose from
