Tuesday Evening Tornado In Western Illinois Was EF-1

(Annawan, IL) -- A farmer in Henry County, Illinois was picking up what was left of two sheds Wednesday. They were destroyed by what the National Weather Service has confirmed was an EF-1 tornado Tuesday evening.

Investigators say the twister hit near Annawan, Illinois, about 35 miles east of the Quad Cities, with winds of 110 miles-per-hour. It was on the ground for about eight minutes, and traveled three miles.

No injuries were reported.

The tornado formed along a cold front that dropped temperatures by 65 degrees in twelve hours.
