Davenport Decides Not To Form Animal Control Department

(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport will not create its own animal control department.

City Council is agreeing to a new deal with the Humane Society of Scott County.

There are no details on the cost of the deal. The Humane Society originally asked for an extra million-dollars from the city.

Council will vote on the agreement next month.
