When I was in the legislature, I filed the first bill banning red light cameras. I continue to oppose those cameras as well as speed cameras.
Senator Brad Zaun has tried for some time to ban speed cameras in the state but hasn't been able to overcome the objections of some in the Iowa law enforcement community. He tells me that, after this attempt, he may be out of ideas.
