UPDATE: Arrest In Iowa Missouri River Park Assault Of Former Congresswoman

Council Bluffs Police now say they have arrested a suspect wanted in the assault of former Arizona Congresswoman Martha McSally.

An arrest warrant had been issued Thursday night for 25-year old Dominic M. Henton of Papillion, Ne. charging him with one count of Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse.

Police say the incident happened Wednesday morning on the "Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park" Service Road South of the I-480 bridge.

Police say Henton is believed to be a transient and frequented the area of the Missouri riverfront on both the Iowa and Nebraska sides.

McSally was in the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro for a speaking engagement.
