Nebraska 911 Service Disruptions

The Governor's office says there are regional 911 system failures in some Nebraska counties including the Omaha Metro.

Law enforcement and local governments are working to address the issue that came up Thursday evening and are in close contact with providers to resolve it.

Right now a number to call for emergencies in Douglas County 402-444-5802;

In Sarpy County, the number is 402-593-4111.

In Washington County, the number is 402-426-6866.

The Governor says Nebraskans are encouraged to monitor their cell phones for alerts and instructions as to alternative methods for reaching 911, which includes texting 911.
