Work Continues To Fix Gas Main In Clive

(Clive, IA) -- Drivers should expect slower traffic on 86th Street in Clive, due to utility repairs today (Thursday). Crews were able to stabilize the gas main break at in the 1500 block of NW 86th Street in Clive Wednesday night. Crews shut off the main at 11:30 p.m. and have been working to flare off excess gas before fixing the damaged pipel.

Mid American Energy Crews plan to excavate and repair the damaged pipe today.

NW 86th Street is now open one way in each direction. The Greenbelt Trail crossing at NW 86th Street has also been reopened.
