(Davenport, IA) -- A Davenport woman is being sentenced for insurance fraud after months of investigation.
According to the Iowa Insurance Division's Fraud Bureau, 36-year-old Kathryn Hosmer pleaded guilty earlier this week and is on probation for three years after receiving a deferred sentence.
The fraud bureau says Hosmer provided inaccurate information and falsified documents in five insurance claims to which she received money that she otherwise wouldn't have been entitled.
The Iowa Insurance Division's Fraud Bureau has been investigating the case since October 2022.
