Omaha Police: Teen That Was Shot In The Head Was Breaking Into Cars

(Omaha, NE) -- Police say a 15-year-old that was shot in the head in South Omaha this morning was breaking into cars. They say the owner of a car confronted a group of people trying to break into cars near South 40th and Vinton around 3:30 a.m. then shot the teen. The teen is in critical condition and the person that pulled the trigger hasn't been found. Anyone with information or video of the shooting is asked to contact the Omaha Police Felony Assault Unit at 402-444-4600.
