Smoke from Canadian wildfires reaching Midwest skies

(Undated) -- There’s a haze in the sky, and even the smell of smoke being reported in many Midwest cities as plumes of smoke from a dozen Canadian wildfires drifts farther south.

The smile has been much more dense in Minnesota the past couple days, including the Twin Cities where breathable air quality is affected.

Now, the smoke is reaching the next tier of states, with noticeable haze and smoke in Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois, even some light haze is reaching as far south as Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.

Air quality may impact people with respiratory conditions.
