(Omaha, NE) -- The woman accused of shooting an Omaha security guard to death over the weekend is held without bond.

On Tuesday, a Douglas County Judge denied bail for 24 year old Keloni Jones. Omaha Police say Jones shot and killed 23 year old Gom Gout near 10th and Capitol Sunday morning. Investigators say Gout was working security for Moe and Curly's bar when he was shot. Police say he was breaking up a fight when Jones pulled out a gun. OPD says Gout was trying to stop Jones from walking towards other people involved in the fight, when she reportedly shot Gout in the chest.

Police say Jones then fled the scene, but was found walking near 24th and Dodge , where she was arrested. She reportedly had the gun in her purse when she was arrested. Gout was taken to Nebraska Medicine following the shooting, but later died.

Jones is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony. She faces 25 years to life for both charges.
